Fraud Alert: Debit Card Texting Scam
Herring Bank customers are reporting a suspicious text message

There is a text message being sent to bank customer’s claiming that there is an issue with their account – specifically we’ve seen and received reports that when the listed number in the text message is called, customers are told their debit card has been locked.
This is not from Herring Bank. It is not legitimate, and it is a scam.
If you receive this text message or one like it, DO NOT click on any of the links and DO NOT call the numbers back.

We take the security of your account very seriously and have deployed several different strategies to protect your account.
Herring Bank will never call and ask you for any account information. If you receive a call asking for details about your account do not provide any information. Hang-up and call us at 866-348-3435 and speak to a representative.
